The very first time I met Gbenga Salu was while I was in school. Although he had graduated some years before I became a student at the University, we attended the same fellowship and served in the same unit (Publicity Unit). On one occasion I got the opportunity to visit his office. He was working on a documentary video for the fellowship’s 40th Anniversary. Now that was my first encounter with him. He was full of inspiration and did a wonderful job. I met Tope some months ago at a wedding and she was so nice to me. She offered me a lift and I was so grateful. I later found out that we attended the same church on the Island and we had been BB friends for ages!
Tope and Gbenga first met at a workshop/training where he (Gbenga) was a facilitator. #insert love story here
I was so happy and excited when they called and insisted I be their official wedding photographer. What does it feel like to cook up a concept? To shoot an award winning director who is famous for most of the creative musical videos and adverts we see on screen?
Well, he told me what they wanted and I looked for a venue just around Lagos. Gladly, they liked it. It was an awesome experience shooting them. They are a very funny couple and Tope has got many types of poses and expressions. It wouldn’t take you more than 5secs to know they are best of friends and lovers. I have selected a few of their pictures. Do enjoy it and drop your comments. They would be waiting to read them.
